Professor Gray works on African American religion broadly, and is interested in connections between race, subjectivity, religion, and embodiment. He is currently completing a book on contemporary racial justice movements, like Blacklivesmatter, and is exploring the intersections between embodiment, religion, and subjectivity. Prof. Gray will be visiting Prof. Xavier's Religion and Popular Culture course and Race, Ethnicity, and Religion seminar in the winter term. He will also be spending time with the MA students in religion and will host office hours.
