Blythe Bell (she/they) is a 6th generation white Canadian settler of mixed-European descent, born and raised on the lands of the Niits铆taapi, Blackfoot Confederacy on Treaty 7 land in Alberta.  They are a nurse and nurse educator with a clinical specialty in perinatal nursing. Blythe completed her Bachelor of Nursing in Calgary in 2003 and has worked in various clinical areas across British Columbia, in the United States, and in Australia. In May 2024, they received an Outstanding Graduate Student Research Award from the UVic Faculty of Education.
