The School of Graduate Studies and Postdoctoral Affairs is pleased to invite the broader Queen카지노 게임 컬렉션™s and Kingston community to the PhD-Community Initiative (PhD-CI) Reception. The PhD-CI is an experiential learning program that brings together interdisciplinary teams of graduate students with organizations in the local community and beyond to address an issue of importance.

This year, six teams of students worked with a diverse group of community partners, including KFL&A Public Health, the Canadian Refugee Sponsorship Agreement Holders Association, ABLE2, Bangladeshi-Canadian Community Services, and the City of Kingston. Student put their graduate training and knowledge to work on projects ranging from support for strategic planning, developing a framework for the Sustainable Development Goals at the municipal level, examining programming impact on the wellness of seniors, a childcare market needs assessment, and mapping networks of support for refugee sponsorship agreement holders. The event will include team presentations, remarks from Mayor Bryan Paterson and Principal Patrick Deane, and a reception.
