His research focuses on the feasibility of diabetes self-management coaching in primary care in Ethiopia, under the supervision of Dr. Catherine Donnelly. He began his professional career as a nurse clinician at Metema Primary Hospital in north-western Ethiopia, where he had the opportunity to work with individuals with type 2 diabetes and learn about the primary care context in the country.
