Choosing a university where I would have the greatest scholarship funding to reduce the burden of loans was a driving force for me. The burden to take on many jobs during the academic year to pay for school was completely removed with financial aid. Being a student, I could focus on grades, extra-curricular activities, and getting involved in the community. I was able to have time to give back to other students in different ways, so I got involved with the Engineering Society and the library.
